What to do in Val di Pejo and Val di Sole in summer

Val di Pejo and Val di Sole offer many opportunities in summer.

As far as walks and trekking are concerned, there is something for all legs: from the walk to Lake Caprioli, which can also be done with a pushchair, to the ascent to Mount Vioz 3,645 metres up, for the more fit and experienced. Alpine lakes abound, trails are everywhere and there are numerous guided outings offered by the Stelvio National Park.

No more bored children: 10 minutes from our hotel you can see deer and roe deer roaming free in a wildlife area. Then there’s the Bosco degli Urogalli, a themed trail set up inside Malga Talè to discover grouse and other mountain birds. For a carefree day with breath-taking views, there’s the large Pejo Kinderland playground at 2,000 m, which can also be reached by cable car. In Croviana you’ll find the MMApe, a small museum dedicated to bees with interactive workshops and (of course) honey tasting.

For sports lovers, the Val di Sole is famous for canyoning and rafting. In Cogolo you can rent e-bikes and travel the entire valley on the cycle path, then return by bike train or bike bus.

In Val di Pejo, there’s no shortage of cultural sites, including the White War Museum and the locations of the Little Alpine World Ecomuseum. Between the Val di Sole and the Val di Non are many castles that can be visited.

With the Val di Sole Guest Card, you can do many of these activities for only €2 per day.
